The Greene County boys golf team saw their season come to an end in the Class 3A sectional golf tournament on May 11. Junior Nathan Behne placed fourth overall with an 18-hole total of 78 and advanced to district competition in Orange City May 15. Behne had knee surgery following a basketball injury and was medically cleared to play golf midseason.
Greene County finished in fifth place among eight teams with 351 strokes at Carroll Country Club’s course. Junior Jack Hansen missed district qualification by two strokes after shooting 80. The other scores used in the team total were 95 from freshman Nathan Towers and 98 by senior Cody McCollom. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
